Meet The Founders

Kidus Yonas  Tarekegne

The Founder of Habesha Youth Artists. I am 19 years old. Field of study Architecture. I have been in to arts for a quite bit and for that majoring in architecture is a good way to stay up to my interest. I became passionate about art because of the joy and happiness it creates in me as well as others. Making people happy as well as my self is the things that keep me going through my life.

Why I personally decided to have this group out their is because I thought we needed a platform connecting artists to each other also the art appreciating community. Art whether its photography or painting or pottery it creates unique feeling when presented out their so why not share it to the world.

The quote I live by is "Some people feel the rain other just get wet."by Bob Marley. It means that people experience life in different way some might just understand go with the flow while others who feel the rain are apparently having some deeper level of feeling to life. Last but not least we have an amazing talent and potential that is undefinable so never doubt that.

Emnet Seifu Nadew

The founder of Habesha Youth Artists. I am also known as Ye Sheger Painter. Where I share my work to people. I am 21 years old. Field of study Computer Science. I have been passionate about art since I was at a young age probably when I was eight years old. I became an artist because it's a hobby I enjoy the most, it's really calming and it really defines my emotions. The reaction and feed back I get from people it really made me love art so much more that I challenge my self every day to show people what I have got to share to the world side to side with my education and it is a stress relief.

Why I personally decided to have this group was a year ago in 2015. I wanted to get the youth group to share our work as one, whether leaving abroad or in Ethiopia. We had great artists that passed away leaving history to the community and I wanted to continue carrying their legends to another generation and having painters, photographers, poem writers work as one to bring unity and change.

The quote I live by is “I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot; together we can do great things.”  Mother Teresa. I believe that if we share our ideas to one another we can learn from on another and bring something bigger. Last but not least I would love to say is  that do not set limits to the things you can do, if you set your mind to it you can achieve it, also  dream bigger.
